Play Me, I’m Yours.

We look for art in the everyday. We look for art in the extraordinary. We also look for art that approaches ideas and thoughts modernly, and really touches us on a fresh new level. “Play Me — I’m Yours” does a little bit of all of that for us, and we’re personally super stoked the exhibit will be coming to Austin next—but the good news is its a roving show so it could totally be coming to your city soon.
“‘Play Me, I’m Yours’ is a month-long, city-wide interactive art installation that invites Austinites to explore and enhance the city’s soundscape. During the month of April, pianos will appear in public places throughout Austin’s urban area with the simple invitation to ‘Play Me, I’m Yours.’ Passersby will be encouraged to play at least a few keys while listening to and observing the effects of their endeavors.”

“Part of an international project by artist Luke Jerram and curated by Austin artist Johnny Walker, ‘Play Me, I’m Yours’ will allow people to engage with, activate and take ownership of their environment via sound and, for those inclined, song.” Sponsored by those savvy visual art lovers behind Art Alliance Austin, more information about this amazing art project here.
